When I first started working on this project, I asked myself why is it that we often associate Palestinian resilience against the occupation exclusively with violence. Are there other means to support this resilience? Upon initiating this project, I decided to explore the idea of resistance through the revival of forgotten traditions. I chose to focus on the tradition of throwing dough in Palestinian weddings and drew a parallel between that and the act of throwing stones in Palestinian Intifadas (riots).
